Why You Should Buy or Rent a Property in Watford?

About the Area

There’s a wealth of information on-line about this unique town of ours, so no need for us to re-hash that here. But it’s no surprise that the majority of buyer enquiries we receive are from people looking to move out of London. Why? Maybe it’s because Watford offers more affordable property, whilst journey time into central London is less than 20 mins from Watford Junction and M25 & M1 road links are both less than 2 miles from our town centre. Perhaps one of my favourite things about the town though, is that only a few minutes’ walk from the bustling High St, peace and tranquility can be found with a walk (run, or cycle) through Cassiobury Park, which leads you to the banks of the River Gade, the Grand Union canal footpath, Whippendell Woods and the Hertfordshire countryside beyond.

If it’s entertainment you’re after, you’re spoilt for choice! The recently refurbished Colosseum is a premier live venue, and has regular top quality music and variety acts appearing. The Palace Theatre is the place for stage drama, as is the lesser known Pump House Theatre. Watford Football Club need no introduction, and although the town is well known for its many pubs, bars and nightclubs, the number of restaurants that have and continue to open is gaining Watford a reputation as Hertfordshire’s culinary capital!
